About Beth
I started tutoring children (1st-3rd) when I moved to Moab, Utah in 2010. It was conducted at Helen M. Knight elementary school. I have a master's degree in Counseling Psychology and was presented with children at the elementary school that had difficulties learning due to psychotherapeutic medication. I worked at Helen M. Knight from 09/2010 until 05/2017. I enjoyed every minute of it. This particular group of children can have a difficult time in a large classroom setting. One on one works best and and my educational background is a plus.
The love of learning and a school in need of someone to tutor that had a psychological background.
I worked for seven years with 1st-3rd grade children in an after-school program at Helen M. Knight elementary school in Moab, Utah. I am a lifetime learner and have a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology.

If they are in a school system, talk to the teachers and find out "goals." Talk to the parents if children are on medication. Find out extra curricular activities and sleep schedule. Talk to the student about goals and expectations. Create lesson plans and individual goals.
First thru third grade and special needs children.
Make some plans and goals. Write down the pros and cons. Not every tutor will be able to help you so you may have to try more than one. Be positive. Have a marble jar.
Watching the birth of a cow-Live! It was amazing and I was only about 10 feet away. It was in a pasture.

Did I follow directions? Did I read it and understand it? Do I really need a tutor? What would help me best? Is the classroom a distraction?
