About Jalisia

I am a current undergraduate student. I have taken primarily English/Literature, Critical Thinking, Psychology, and Sociology courses. I will do whatever I can to ensure that you not only understand writing edits but be able to actively use them for future projects. The goal is fluidity without excessive reiteration. I offer the opportunity to forward writing assignments to me so that I can review them prior to submission. I will return it with detailed edit suggestions. I want your work to be the best it can be.

I have a passion for writing. I have had articles publishes, I have written novels, and I am continuously improving my own English techniques. I love sharing my knowledge and support with others. I try to do this in as enjoyable of a manner as possible.

I started as a tutor within my first two years of college at Lake Sumter State College. I then went on to work as a public daycare teacher, and then lastly as a private tutor.

I am currently and undergrad student at the University of Central Florida.

I have taken numerous writing, English, critical thinking, psychology, and sociology courses. All of which are predominately graded through essays. All of which I passed with no less than a ‘B’.

About the lesson

I will first inquire what areas they feel they need the most help with. Afterwards, I request examples of their past and/or current work so that I may determine where the best starting point will be.

I have tutored distance learning children that were utilizing the K12 system. I have also worked with college essay correction and tutoring. I also have history of teaching students with learning disabilities (i.e. autism) and/or mental health disorders (i.e. anxiety).

I advise you to keep affordability in mind as well as the quality of the instructor. Not every instructor that charges significant fees will be the best instructor for you.

I also advise to request a sample of their own work so that you may see what they are capable of.

A recent event that I am fond of is helping a student pass her humanities course for her business degree. She had a large disadvantage with her wiritng skills compared to the rest of the students. However, through persistence, and studying, she managed to catch up and pass her course with a 'B'. Whereas she was behind and carrying a 'D' grade when she came to me.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Consider where your errors are mostly condensed. Determine if they are errors made in lack of knowledge, or errors made from outiside forces (i.e. stress, poor time management). Then bring it to your teacher's attention so that they are aware how to best assist you.

Tutoring - $10 per hour.

Reviewing Essays with an overall opinion - $3 per page (if more than 1 page. It is $5 if it is a 1-page essay.

Reviewing and Editing Essays - $5 per page.
