About Jason
Flexible hours but more importantly such a vast knowledge of the instrument and theory that a flexible teaching method is created to suit the needs of each individual. Teach all levels of skill and most ages. (6yrs-60yrs)
Everything. I enjoy the hectic schedules, long hours,the rush of playing a sold out show, and most importantly, watching students grow and prosper not only in music, but life.
Before I really got into teaching I obtained my bachelors degree in history at Illinois State University. There I took education courses which guided me to my teaching methods now.
Professionally playing in one of the most vibrant music scenes in the world also gives me an inside look into the day to day of a musician. Understanding not all players look for the same end result, and seeing the successes of those not highly involved in the scene gave me a new outlook to my teaching method.
