About David
I’m a full time professional percussionist and have been teaching lessons for 23 years. I started my career as a percussionist in the United States Marine Corps. I play drum set and djembe in several bands. I also have orchestra, all state, marching band, drum corps, and percussion ensemble experience. Whatever your performance goals are, I can help!

For a brand new beginner, I always start from how to hold the sticks, how to stand/sit properly, and how to execute basic strokes. Then we move on to basic music reading and technique.
