Communication is important to me and in both taking classes and teaching them at the Rose Cottage, Jen has been great to work with. She listens to concerns, offers help when needed, and is very knowledgeable about the class offerings, supplies, and techniques taught. I would recommend the Rose Cottage School of Art to anyone (adult or child) seeking to further their artistic ability, learn/try something new and different.

Jen was so helpful during our class. Even though it was a full class, I felt like I had her full attention and focus. I had never painted before and she made it easy and fun! I can’t wait to go back.

It is a wonderful place to take a class in a new type of art, like pottery. I teach needle-felting classes there, but have never tried pottery. I plan to take other classes in the future and teaching more there, as it really is a great place, mainly due to the owner Jen Otey. She is great!!!

What's not to like? The overall vibe is fun and inspiring with a wide variety of classes, talented/supportive teachers, intimate class sizes, and convenient location. I'm blown away by the scope and depth of the teachers' creativity and their engaging teaching styles. Rose Cottage is a precious little gem and a wonderful addition to Wytheville's emerging creative economy.

The variety of classes is amazing, kids and adults, all in one location. We have really needed something like this in our area and we are so lucky to have this here in Wytheville. The cost of classes is often a concern, but the prices for classes at Rose Cottage are very reasonable so we are very fortunate.

The atmosphere was relaxing and all the paintings turned out fantastic because of the leader/teachers help and confidence.

Everyone is so wonderful and helpful. I personally enjoy the pottery classes. I never knew how to work with clay and now I’m making bowls and mugs left and right! Rose Cottage of Art is such an amazing establishment for Wytheville

The fundraisers she did with the Copper Crest Riding Therapy Program were well attended repeatedly. The classes I personally took with her were totally enjoyable.

Jen and Rose Cottage customized a paint event for our community college's Relay for Life team. They were so wonderful to work with from start to finish. They were very conscious about staying in communication and the creativity and care put into our event made it successful and memorable. Rose Cottage even donated a portion of the proceeds from our paint event back to our Relay for Life team which was so unbelievably kind and appreciated. I would highly recommend choosing Rose Cottage School of Art for any creative needs big or small.

The teachers are fantastic. They really work with students to help foster the creative process and make sure the end product is something students are happy with. The environment is inspiring as well!
