Opening up the world of art creation at a professional level to any student wishing to develop their skills.

After two decades of creating art professionally, opening the Art Academy was my way of sharing everything that I had learned in that time. Finding a concise and actionable art education is extremely difficult, I believed that I had a means to deliver that education, and in that, founded the school

The program founder has nearly 30 years of experience as a top tier professional artist (commercial illustrator/art director/portrait painter/educator. Having delivered approximately 600 commissioned works over the years, his experience places him in a distinct position to offer training and insight to developing not only the skills or an artist, but a career path if that is ones desire.

About the lesson

The Art Academy program is built upon the fundamentals. There are no ‘advanced techniques’, just a greater understanding and use of the ‘basics’.

With the consideration of just three moving parts, all 2d art is possible.

We have have a broad range of students from age 7 to late 70’s. Some of our students have studied elsewhere, others have never taken an art class in the life. We have many local students, but have had people travel all the way from NYC and Delaware for our regular Sunday sessions, and from access the world for out=r summer intensives.

We work with anyone who has a desire to learn.

Always look to the work of the students at the school. A teachers credentials mean very little if the students aren’t developing impressive skills.

We proudly post our students work on the website so prospective students get a sense of the strength of our program.

Details

Tuition for Youth pastel drawing classes is $95/month. This fee includes all material needed for class.

Tuition for teen adult oil painting classes is $165/month. This feel includes all materials needed for class except paint.
