About Joseph
I have been a life-long lover of art and creative expression. My training comes from a Nanuet fine arts studio where I studied acrylics, oils, pastels, clay sculpture, 3D design, cel-animation, traditional/modern cartooning, and graphite drawing. I am still an advid learner and find myself picking up new techniques and practices everyday!
I love the feeling I get from seeing others' excitement over the art that they create! Whether you would like to sharpen some skills or dabble in something new, I am here to help guide you on your journey of expression!
I began teaching art during the summers at a special education camp for adolescents and teens. From there I went to school for art therapy and grad school to obtain my NJ certification to teach.
My training comes from a fine arts studio in Rockland County, NY. From the ages of 6 to 11 I studied acrylic paint, oils, pastels, conté, sketch, 3D animation, Cel animation, sculpture, clay pottery, live model drawing, and numerous other art styles. I currently operate and run my own design company where I produce character designs for physical products.

First I will ask a little about your personal art goals or interest. What would you like to get of your lessons? Then I will ask which art styles or artists you find interesting. This will help me tailor the lessons around your likes and make them more engaging! Lastly, if available, I will ask to see some samples of your work OR samples of someone else's work that you would like emulate!
