About Dice Eira

If you're looking to hire me, please consider contacting me through my email, (concealed information) where I can easily apply my sliding scale rates and standard rates, as well as actually reply to your inquiries without havong to pay this website to do so.

I love working with a multitude of mediums, and find art in everything. I've worked in the film and photography industry, I've worked salvage, I've worked tattoo, I've worked with so many creative outlets and am always growing my own skill. But I feel the most satisfaction teaching others how to achieve their creative goals.

I prefer working in one on one settings via Zoom, Google Meet, and Discord. But I will consider other streaming/video platforms, as well as coming to you, having you come to me, or meeting in a safe public space. All of this can be discussed in our free consultation, prior to the first lesson.

Personally, I work as a Ritual Artist. Meaning I use my personal cultural and spiritual practices to ground me, and guide me, as I begin creating. This is a personal method, however, and no one is required to adhere to this. I'm here to teach various aspects of art. I'm not here to teach private, closed, spiritual practices. However, if you have your own form of grounding, and guiding, yourself that you would like to work into your art, I will welcome it, and hold space for it, so long as we remain respectful of each others meditation and as long as we stick to our planned art lessons, following it.

I find it very important to point out that I am Queer, Non-Binary/Two-Spirit (Hatukholba - AFAB Choctaw & Euro/Scandinavian Mutt Mix - Raised With My Choctaw Families Guidings & Some Of My Scandinavian Families 18 Generations Of Closed Pagan Practices), and use the pronouns Fae/Faer/Faers, but will accept the pronouns They/Them/Theirs, happliy. If you genuinely slip up, its ok, we all make mistakes. You're more than welcome to just use my name, and give me random Monster and Fae nicknames, like my son will sometimes do.

If you're interested in learning a skill I've pictured, or discussed on my website, but is not selected on here, simply contact me! An example of another skill I can teach, is learning how to do regular maintenance on your vehicle. This obviously requires an in person lesson.

For all in person lessons, I ask that you're honest on your vaccine status, and that you follow CDC guidelines with me. This is not only for our own personal health, but for our family, friends, and all that we may come into contact with.

As of currently, I have dose 1, and am scheduled for dose 2.

I jave experience working woth ages 2+, and particularly work with indovinduals qith nuerodivergency like ASD and ADHD.

As I stated previously, I'm very familiar with living in poverty, and throughout middle and high school, we couldn't always afford our lunches.

So, before I got witty and started taking culinary classes for my 4th period, I'd trade musical lessons for food, items, and sometimes cash. This quickly lead to me offering lessons and tutoring in a multitude of skill sets.

From there, it turned to training students for busy teachers, and new-hires for employers. Slowly growing into a personal passion.

I am primarily a self-taught Artist, and Jack-Of-All-Trades. Most of my skills were learned out of sheer curiosity, passion, wanting a new hobby, or looking for a new line of work. I have an ability to learn quickly, and efficiently. As well as being known for my on the fly ingenuity.

So much so, that I was able to start working film sets without any educational background in film, and only with experience as a background extra. I tricked a whole crew into thinking I had been working Art Department as Set Design and Props for several years, when I actually had zero experience and was just asked by a former co-worker to be their assistant for a season, because they liked my work ethics and style.

I have taken an apprenticeship under Takumi Tattoo, when I was 19/20 years old. I did so, to further my artistic abilities, find my unique drawing and illustration style, and allow for me to occasionally tattoo as my schedule allowed. As well as achieving a personal dream from the 2nd grade.

All teaching and mentor experience is from trading "skills" for food/items in highschool, raising a child, and simply a joy for helping others. I primarily tutored others in playing upright bass and electric bass, but also took on basic household maintenance, poetry, and drawing basics.

About the lesson

I always do a free consultation first. I want to know about your artistic goals and your learning goals, before we jump into any lesson. But I also want to know what your financial situation is, so I know what materials we're able to work with. I grew up, and still float around, in poverty. So learning how to do any form of art always came from what I had around me.

This meant making dollar store supplies, and free finds, get the job done. As I was able to afford higher quality supplies, I would take the time to "relearn" my art forms, and examine the quality differences in my supplies. I do this to determine which ones were actually worth the price, that way I know what supplies give the look I want, without breaking my budget.

So when I ask the financial question in our consultation, it's solely for this reason, and not meant to feel invasive. It's also to help determine if you can afford my standard rates ( $10/hr - Children, $15/hr - Teens, $20-$25/hr - Adults ) or if we'll be needing to work on a sliding scale.

I like eating, and paying my bills, but I want everyone to feel as if they can access my art.

Predominantly teenagers and adults, but I have worked with a few children. Most of which were either family or a friends child. So there was already a mutual knowledge of eachothers personality type.

However, with the teenagers and adults I have taught, a majority of them were also Nuerodivergent, like myself. Or had a mental illness/disability that they frequently feared would hold them back from achieving their dreams. As well as catering to LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and Women first, but all are welcome to learn. All I ask is that anyone wishing to be a student maintains a desire to learn, a respect to all walks of life, and a respect to me. My main goal has always been about building commuinty, and providing a safe space for all walks of life. Especially those who are familiar with living in poverty, and being outcasted, segregated, and experienced traumas for their gender identity, sexuality, race, disability, choice substance, line of work, etc.

Nothing but Care, Community, Learning, Love, and Respect over here.

• What experience do they have in their field, and do they have outside proof of it available for you to look through? Make sure they aren't stealing work, and uploading another artists courses.

• Are they actively working in this field? Is this their hobby? Or do they no longer work or have never worked in this field? There's quite a few "teachers" out there, who have never actually worked, or have done as a hobby, the skill they're teaching. As well as some who haven't done anything with this skill for years, before jumping into teaching others. Make sure they actively practice their taught skill.

• How well do they answer yours, and others, questions pertaining to the specific skill inquired about? Again, make sure they actually know how to do the skill they're offering to teach, and aren't either stealing anothers work, and/or aren't just trying to get "easy" money.

• Do they enjoy what they do, and do they enjoy teaching it? If they're not happy preforming their skill, or teaching their skill, you will not receive the best lessons that younpossibky could, and you will not enjoy learning them.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
•Are they affordable? Be sure that you can afford their most basic lessons. If you're too financially stressed, you'll be distracted going in to each lesson. Especially if you can barely afford them.

•Are they adaptive? Will they change their teaching approach for someone who doesn't learn like most everyone else? You can be the best of your skill, who has successfully taught a multitude of others, and still be a poor teacher if you're unwilling to adopt, and adapt, to other learning styles.

•Are they accessible? Will they take your needs and capabilities into consider, or will they demand that you meet yours or find someone else? A good teacher will work with you to find common ground accessiblility thats financially accessible, mentally accessible, and physically accessible. If it's not fully accessible to you, you won't get everything that you can from it.

•Are they challenging you or are they setting you up to fail? A good challenge is healthy for the brain, but when is it too challenging? If you're constantly "failing", being told it's "not good enough", or never being able to progress to the next lesson, it's not challenging, it's intended failure for profit. They want your money, and only your money.

•Are they caring? No one learns well with a teacher who just doesn't care about you, or the other students. Care, compassion, love, humanity, all of that is necessary for a successful learning experience. Be sure your teacher cares.

Children Ages 6 to 12 - $10 / hour

Teenagers Ages 14 to 19 - $15 / hour

Adults Ages 20+ - $20 to $25/ hour depending on complexity of the desired skill(s).

However! I do offer sliding scale rates, based solely on your financial budget, and do offer discounts for anyone who purchases 4+ lessons in advance after our free consultation. Free consultations will also have a small, simple, sample lesson included in our meeting. While also being used to feel out your current skill level, and your learning style(s).

I like to think of consults as a time to interview each other, and determine if we'll both be able to achieve your desired goals in a positive mindset and setting. Basically, if we don't vibe right, you won't learn right. And nobody likes to learn from a teacher they don't get along with
