About Elita
My life has changed considerably since I uncovered my purpose and found a meaning behind the work I do. The biggest change was identifying why creativity is important and knowing that I have the skills and knowledge to help people and make a difference to their lives. My work is something that allows me to live my values on a daily basis and therefore it is hugely fulfilling. You would look at my photos and videos and probably would think I was born with this talent but you couldn't be more wrong. What made me want to be an Artist is seeing a portrait of my baby brother at the time and I remember thinking how realistic it looked to me and from the moment I seen that drawing I inspired to be exactly like that Artist, possibly even better lol and believe me when I say, I sucked. Lol...I started off with stick figures then I went to tracing my bratz doll posters, taking art classes, looking at tutorials on YouTube, getting advice etc...and I am still learning. I believe as an Artist no matter how good you think you are, you will always have something new to learn.
What I love most about the work I do is the feeling of joy and satisfaction when looking at my portraits. I think "WOW, I DID THAT, ME!" lol...and I just give myself a pat on the back even if I don't get the recognition. I know its people out there that can't do what I can do BUT they want to, they just need a great teacher to understand and be gentle with them. I went over to a friend house and I encouraged her to continue to paint even if she felt it wouldn't turn out how she want it. Keep pushing because I'm telling every one of my future students that you WILL get better and will become wonderful Artists and also remember that all artist are not the same. Someone might be better at Acrylic painting than you are or you might be good at oils or shadowing. Its never a competition. Its all about learning and having fun.
This will actually be my very first time teaching an Art class but its something I always dreamed of doing and I absolutely can't wait to get started.
I am mostly self taught and taken a few art classes but overall I have been drawing since I was 10 years old.

My working progress would actually be depending on my students schedule. Some people have full-time jobs, school, kids, etc...but once we set a schedule that works for the both of us. I asked numerous questions to see what kind of artist you would want to be.
