About KATHRYN
Serving Kentuckiana since 1941, Preston Arts Center, Inc., is a third generation, family owned and operated art materials store. In our current class schedule ((concealed information) we have 50 regular classes and 16 workshops taking place Fall 2018. Our teachers are experienced artists and art teachers, and our students range from absolute beginners to experienced artists. Painting classes have specific exercises which familiarize the student with materials, color mixing, etc. before going on to paint a student project. Drawing classes are geared more toward beginners or more advanced students. Most other classes and workshops are more topical, and not geared to skill level.

Very professional and helpful staff
The whole staff is friendly and helpful. I have been going there for drawing classes and studios since January 2015 and my drawing skills have improved more than I could ever have imagined. Jeremy Miller, the artist who teaches drawing and works with us in the studio is very talented. He also has a way of approaching people that always leaves me with a smile on my face. I cannot imagine going anywhere else.
Choice of material. Great instructor.
