About Troy

We specialize in family-friendly art and entertainment services and specialze in over 30 different services, all with local talent.

I am what I wanted to be "when I grow up." My career and the opportunities I'm afforded grow, develop, enrichen and become a wonderful role modeling for others to follow their hearts and achieve success on their own terms.

I organized my first art classes when I was in high school for children of my parish in South Bend as I explored further studies in education. I come from a long line of teachers so it was very well guided and supported.

My undergraduate studies are in Art and education. I've been a professional artist, educator and entertainer since I was in high school. I've instructed in several after school classes, Summer camps and adult education programs. I enjoy helping students develop to their potential.

About the lesson

I would like to understand what they would like to learn. If their expectations are a match for my skills, then I would be honest about appropriate challenges for them while maintaining the passion they have for their craft. If an honest assessment is needed, I'm happy to provide it to a prospective student, even if it means I won't be a good mentor for their development.

I've instructed in every age from pre-school to retiree and some special education. The majority of my involvement has been with elementary aged children, and the majority of the experiences have been filled with enthusiastic and imaginative students. It has been a joy to inspire and educate them.

Trust your instincts. It has to be a good fit and it has to feel like a good direction. Like any relationship, the exchange of ideas should be natural and inspiring.

The most recent opportunities have been ones of our own development at our destination in New Haven. We call it "SmArt Camp" and it's a day camp currently offered just one week of the Summer. We hope to develop it into additional offerings and after school programs.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Do they REALLY want to learn? Or, are they merely testing the waters? Either answer is fine but it would necessitate a difference in approach. The fine arts require discipline and time while the "fun arts" are a wonderful and therapeutic experience.
