About Alex
A straight-forward honest critic of your artwork, as I work with you to grow your artistic skills. Natural talent is a myth. Anyone can learn how to create their own art. Talent is hard work plus a lot of practice.
I enjoy helping other students understand their art better. I also enjoy teaching about art history. However, I think what I enjoy the most is watching a student utilize those resources and tools toward creating and understanding art. It is a very exciting process to be an active contributor towards.
I 've taught several summer art camps when I was 12-14 years old. When I got into college I helped out my peers' for free whenever I could in terms of critiques and studying.

First, I recognize what level of help a student may need by asking the student what would they like to improve their work.
Then, I try to figure out what learning style the student usually falls into and I try to abide by that style of teaching to help the student learn the subject matter quicker.
Finally, I am open and honest with the student about accomplishments that have been made and improvements that could be made with their artwork
