About Hanieh

I want to empower my students with technical skills in visual arts and graphic design and help them gain what they need. For some people, art is a profession and a goal and for some is a hobby, so there are different teaching curriculum and subject matters. I attempt to help my students meeting their goals. Art raises consciousness and makes people aware of themselves and the world around them. It could be highly conceptual or therapeutic.

I have experience teaching at after-school programs, working with pre-college students with their portfolios, and college students and elders. I am interested in pedagogy to bring my knowledge and skills to the classroom and help my students with what they want. Truthfulness and consistency are my priorities, and I am eager to work with students at any level. I have a BFA in Graphic Design and an MFA in Art. I have more than five years of professional design career and a history of making and teaching art in Los Angeles and San Gabriell Valley.

When I was a young art student, my teacher asked me to assist him with one of his classes! I ended up teaching that class by myself! But since graduate school in 2018, I became more interested in pedagogy as an art practice and I pursued more Teaching Artist opportunities.

I have a BFA in Graphic Design and an MFA in Art.

About the lesson

I have experience working at after-school programs with elementary school students and K-12. I also worked with pre-college students with their portfolios and with graduate-level and elders.

Currently, I am participating in 14 days freestyle swim challenge. I think it is wonderful!

Also, I am looking forward to seeing upcoming exhibitions at Norton Simon Museum.
