Genevieve is an excellent instructor! She is patient, and is able to describe concepts in multiple ways in order for me to connect with ideas she expresses. She’s also very encouraging, which is especially nice for a novice like me. Working with the World of Paz has been an all-around terrific experience!

Learning dance from Genevieve was one of the best things I’ve ever done. I really only intended to learn enough salsa to survive a wedding in Puerto Rico and I ended up staying with her for 4+ years and learned over 10 different dance styles. It’s definitely been fun and a great way to channel my passions. She’s really patient and breaks things down in easy ways where people who don’t feel they are natural dancers will learn and feel accomplished. She’s also great at modifying a lesson plan to focus on things that are important to her students. For me, I put a priority on social dancing as opposed to the “formal” part of it all. She was happy to accommodate, and oftentimes, I’d learn that had I followed the structure, I would’ve gotten to my social dancing goal faster. She’s a great teacher and a great dancer and a great person to be around. I worked hard, felt good about myself, exercised and laughed a lot in my time with her.

Dancing with and learning dancing from Genevieve is one of the best experiences I've ever had. Her positive attitude about dance and movement is infectious. She always found ways to have a succesful lesson, even when I was struggling with a particular movement or lead. No matter how crazy my life was, I would look forward to our lesson as a high point of my week. Genevieve always found a way to get me out of my head into my body, especially my feet. There were times it felt like she was teaching me to fly. She taught me over 20 dances, but my favorite was getting into the soul of Argentine Tango.

The World of Paz is an enthusiastic and encouraging dance instructor. My husband and I learned Salsa, Rumba, Waltz, Fox Trot, Zouk, Swing, Bolero, Hustle, and Argentine Tango from a Paz. Every lesson was fun and informative. Highly recommended.
