About Scotty

I am a college professor and an after school tutor for the computer-related fields looking to help out additional students in an online environment.

I always wanted to be a teacher since I was a kid and now that I am proficient and educated with my knowledge as a web developer and computer specialist, I use it to help others in a field I love and am passionate about.

I have an Associate's Degree in Web/Software Development, a Bachelor's Degree in Web Design and Development, and a specialized technical certification in Computer Engineering.

I am a current college professor in an online environment teaching in the Web Design and Development curriculum with Champlain College.

I also hold the 2011 Outstanding Tutor Award for exceptional tutorial services at Luzerne County Community College.

About the lesson

I get a generalized understanding of the student's content knowledge by asking them what they know and questions regarding the subject matter, followed by using their knowledge to obtain and learn more advanced and new information regarding the subject at hand.

I have worked with all types of students, including those with disabilities, including deaf, ADHD, and Austism. Those students have also succeeded in their classes I tutored them in and also passed courses I taught them in.

Do your best and never give up. If you try hard and fail, try again and don't give up until you succeed because the more you try, the better you become. Keep doing your best and you have nothing to be ashamed of.

Being awarded the Spring 2018 Merit Award Winner for exemplary teaching skills and outstanding methods in an online classroom environment.

Questions that they have to help them understand and comprehend the coursework they are working on. Don't work ahead, work on the current level of assignment because working ahead can and most likely will confuse you in the current part of the course.
