About Alexander
I have a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Wells College and a Master of Science in Pharmacology from the University of Rochester Medical Center. I am currently in my 4th year of my Ph.D. in Pharmacology & Physiology. I have tutored undergraduate and graduate courses for over 5 years such as: General Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Human Cell Physiology, and Pharmacology.
I am a research scientist studying mitochondria, metabolism and cardiovascular physiology which requires me to be well-versed across many different disciplines and techniques.
I began tutoring during my sophomore year of undergraduate and have been doing it since. I look forward to the ah-ha moment where everything comes together for the student.

Learning how the student prefers to learn and how they may learn so I can tailor my approach to the indivudal.
In undergrad I worked with science and non-science majors, and a lot of pre-med students. In graduate school I have worked with domestic and international students across the many disciplines offered here at the university (biochemistry/biophysics, toxicology, genetics, pharmacolgy, neuroscience, immunology/microbiology/virology).
Learning has always been the easiest for me when I feel like I am having a conversation with my tutor about the material and my difficulties with it rather than recieving a lecture. Positivity from the tutor about the material has always been beneficial when learning something new.
