About Brian
I love instructing students in person. While I enjoy delivering group instruction (lectures), I really take joy in having struggling students meet with me to work through challenging content. As I am taking the year off from teaching in my classroom, I would really love to direct that passion toward helping students in need at a distance.
I have been in the classroom for 13 years, the last 9 years have been at the same school. I specialize in Biology, AP Biology, and high school Anatomy & Physiology. I am also licensed to teach high school Chemistry.
Prior to teaching, I spent five years conducting research in a molecular biology lab at the Univerysity of Minnesota.

I typically take a portion of the first session getting to know the expectations of each student. I want to make sure our sessions together accomplish your goals.
Make sure you have a clear idea of what you want this time used for. We want any sessions to be as beneficial to you as possible.

Details
Generally, I am available for tutoring sessions any day of the week from 3-5 pm and from 9 pm - 12 am (midnight).
Individual tutoring sessions are $40/hr. You are welcome to schedule as little as 30 minutes/session. At the moment, there is no discount for scheduling multiple sessions. If scheduled sessions need to be cancelled or rescheduled, at least 4 hours notice must be given.
Group tutoring sessions start at $60/hr for two students. For each additional student, the cost per hour increases by $10. Price is based on the number of students scheduled. If a student is unable to attend a session, at least 4 hours notice must be given to avoid charge for that student.
