About Brittany

I am a BSN Registered Nurse with a speciality in Cardiovascular Intensive Care, so I have many years of experience in the sciences! I have been tutoring all throughout my highschool, college, and nursing school careers. I started and headed the tutoring program at my nursing school. I have tutored in everything from geometry to Pathophysiology and everything in between! I am super patient and cater my teaching style to how the individual student learns best!

I absoultely love helping people to further their knowledge, and gain confidence in themselves and their ability to obtain the knolwedge. My favorite parts of tutoring are when the pieces finally click and the student has the "AHA!" moment, and then when they tell me how successful they were on a test! The look of accomplishment and pride they feel in themselves fills me with joy!

I have always had a passion for teaching, but it started in tutoring my friends in college, then grew as more people asked me to help them.

About the lesson

First, I get to know the student in order to figure out how it is they learn best, whether its visual, auditory, or hands-on, and where they struggle to learn information. Then, I get them comfortable with me and earn their trust, so their mind is fully open to retaining and learning the information I'll be teaching them!

I have worked with all sorts of students: high school, college aged, nursing students, etc.

Ensure that the teacher you are using, is flexible and willing to cater to your needs. Also, make sure you can relate to, are comfortable with, and respect them in order to be able to optimize your own ability to retain the knowledge beign taught.
