About Tyler
Something that makes me feel satisfied or excited is the ability to help or assist students that are interested and invested in their own success. Being a part of that is exceptionally meaningful for me.
The thing that I enjoy most about helping students is one particular type of moment. This moment is when a student is struggling, bordering frustration, but then everything clicks, and they say "OHH, I get it now!". This interaction makes all the lows that happen during the week worthwhile.
I have a Bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut in Marine Sciences, with a minor in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. I have a Master's Degree from the University of Connecticut in Education and curriculum instruction. I have passed the Praxis II exam in both Biology and General Science, in each of with I qualified for a certificate of excellence.
