About Mackenzie

Reps for instinctive play and responsive, decision-making based exercises to elevate the pace with which you're able to deduce the right reads, pivots and opportunities.

I enjoy assisting lovers of basketball in maximizing their potential by introducing them to the nuances, details and expansiveness of the game and fusing that with life lessons which flow within the game.

The CEO of a company I worked with in Charlotte, NC years back would ask me to teach his son how to become a better basketball player and from there I began learning how to become a better teacher of the game.

We fuse repetition based training with responsive, decision-making exercises to develop the student's instinctive skills/abilities simulataneously.

We assess areas of opportunity/ strengths and create a strategy to elevate the student's skill level. After communicating what our areas of focus will be, all workouts will be tailored towards developing and growing the student's skill set.

I have worked with students of all skill levels in elementary, middle, high school and collegiate athletes.

The advice I would give a student looking to hire a teacher in my area of expertise would be to understand that practice is where you will make mistakes & have opportunity to get frustrated, however, by doing the work, you're making steps in the right direction. Keep working!

We recently held our first summer basketball lock-in which hosted 35 kids who stayed up playing hoops all night!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
