About Tyler

Hey everyone, thanks for considering me to train your athlete. I come from a prestigious High School in Mississippi with a winning tradition. I signed a D1 scholarship to play at Samford University and was drafted in 2012 by the New York Mets. Learning to play the game the right way and having fun are big components of my style of coaching. I'm big on setting a routine and starting at whatever level your athlete is at. I've taught 5 year olds how to catch and I'm currently the assistant coach at Daytona State. My focus is growing the game of baseball and having fun doing so.

Started coaching 12U then 13U then 14U, opportunity opened up at a 7A High School in Alabama then took an opportunity at the college level this year with Daytona State

Played High School, D1, and professional baseball

About the lesson

A new student starts and ends with the parents. I want to be 100% transparent with what what they are looking for and how I can work on those required fundamentals. Parents are welcome to be present during lessons so they can ask questions and also do more practice at home.

Athletes of all ages, Youth up to Professional

You need to be instructed by someone that has walked in your shoes. For example: I'm not a Left-handed pitcher. I can help with the pick off move to first but I've never personally had to master the craft. When looking to join a college during recruiting it's important to make sure the coaches have your best interest in mind and that one of the coaches has played your position

I recently had an 8 year old come in for his first lesson ever and no other coaches wanted to take the lesson because the athlete couldn't hit, catch or throw well but he loved baseball. He came in twice a week for a month and in 1 month I had him confident enough to hit, catch, and throw consistently. Nobody is above helping someone that's willing to learn
