About Travis

I am passionate about baseball, and about helping youth players improve their skills, mechanics, and overall baseball IQ. I have 3 children of my own and coach travel teams for my 2 oldest currently.

I am USA Baseball certified and have been a lifelong student of the game. Because I was never the biggest/fastest/strongest player on the field, I had to use my baseball intelligence to gain the advantage. I feel this thought process and being aware of situations/tendencies are important tools to have as a player, and want to pass this knowledge on to the next generation of players.

Once I was done playing, former coaches and teammates asked that I assist with their teams. I now actively coach 2 of my children playing travel baseball.

About the lesson

I always like to take a little time up front to get to know the player by playing catch or having them take some swings to loosen up a little and get them comfortable. I want to understand what their biggest challenges are and what goals they'd like to accomplish. From there I typically will assess the player in different aspects of the game, and devise a plan of action based off of where the individual player is in their development.

8U-14U

Make sure you are working with someone that cares about you and your future success. They should want to spend their time helping you reach your full potential!

We just completed a 10 week off season training program with our 2 travel teams.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What kind of player do I want to develop into?

What are some areas of strength/weakness in your game?

What is your ultimate goal from training?

Any specific areas you feel you need to focus on?
