About Korra
My greatest assets are my kindness, patience, and understanding that allow me to work intimately with my students to build understanding while having fun! My vast experience in various subjects allows me to work with students who struggle in STEM and aspire to progress in their education. My goal is to provide opportunities for my students and ensure that they acquire the same power or rather ability to break down problems and think critically which will benefit the student through life as well as his/her academic career.

Lessons begin with a fun and brief conversation leading up to a review of the material that the student has gone over during the day. Depending on the student's needs, we may focus on understanding the material, drill with practice problems, and/or go over future material. All throughout the session, the student is asked questions and assessed for deeper levels of understanding. As a result, students are given proper verbal skills and the ability to organize well developed thoughts around their subjects of interest.

The Ms. Rachel for math! Korra’s energy and her explanations make it easy to understand math, especially for math-averse kids. Had I had a teacher like her when I was in grade school, I wouldn’t fear math.
We know Korra for almost two years as a very caring, knowledge and honest person and tutor.
Under Korra’s tutelage, I increased my math score by 250 points on the SAT. As someone who, before tutoring, couldn’t subtract in my head, Korra seriously worked a miracle. Also, her dedication was impressive; she would drive from NJ to NY every day just to tutor me. Again, I could not recommend her enough!
