With 30 years as a classroom teacher, I know how to teach and get results. Even as a tutor, I strive for growth in student achievement while trying to make learning fun with hands-on activities.
I have the following credentials: 1. Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education; 2. Bachelor's degree in Education for the Hearing Impaired; 3. Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction; 4. Endorsement as a Reading Specialist; 5. Endorsement in Special Education.

My initial session with a student includes a thorough assessment of his strengths and weaknesses in a subject. After analysis, I construct a plan of action that guides me through the tutoring sessions. I frequently evaluate a student's progress with quick assessments of skills to monitor growth. I include as many visually inticing and hands-on activities that I can.
I have taught 1st grade through 6th grade in all subject areas, and I have tutored K-6 in reading, grammar, spelling, math and history.
