About Jacob

Hi! My name is Jacob. I am a polyglot who speaks English, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese, Italian and French. I have a passion for languages, and over years of experimenting, I have built up a comprehensive understanding of how to learn a language in a natural, effortless and enjoyable way.

I had the privilege of studying abroad at Osaka College of Music, where my social life and lessons were all in Japanese. During my time there, I was able to reach a level of fluency that allowed me to fully experience every detail of a new culture, and make friends that will last a lifetime. I cannot begin to express how precious that year was and how much it has nourished me. The importance of languages today is massively overlooked and I strongly encourage anyone who is thinking about it to begin their journey!

I want to share my passion for languages and help you achieve your goals with methods that feel meaningful and fun, whether you are learning for travel, family, friends, or school (GCSE, A-Level), or just for fun!

About the lesson

As a self-taught polyglot who speaks more than 5 languages, I have developed a confident and effective approach to language learning.

After years of experimenting, speaking and making friends from all over the world by following my curiosity and passion for languages, I have cultivated methods which feel natural and effortless.

I have experience tutoring Spanish and Piano to people of all ages and backgrounds, and I tailor my lessons individually to each student in ways that allow them to flourish and learn in a way that feels best for them.

Instead of endlessly memorising verb tables, my approach is driven by using your target language in ways that are truly meaningful and interesting to you. We will learn through real-life situations, in order to learn how your target language is truly spoken outside of the textbook.

I offer lessons (ranging from 30-60 minutes) to all levels and all ages. The languages I offer are Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and Japanese.
