About Gerald

I enjoy passing my knowledge on to others so they have a better understanding of the subject they are interested in. I know how to approach subject matter from different perspectives so students have the best chance of understanding the material.

I have been a teacher since 2000 in California with credentials in math, physics, and chemistry.

It is really enjoyable when you realize that a student understands the concept and gets it.

When to a job interview and was hired on the spot because I had a lifetime credential from Texas.

About the lesson

I begin by asking what subject they need help with. Then I narrow it down to specifics. What is giving the student difficulty specifically. From there it is a matter of doing the right kind of examples and having the student do enough practice problems that they are sure they grasp the concept.

I have been working with high school students for almost 20 years.

Making sure that the teacher has multiple approaches to teaching a concept, especially one that is giving the student difficulty. Also, you want your teacher to have patience and understanding.

It was nice to hear from the students taking the AP Physics 1 exam that every concept and been covered.
