About Elizabeth

Hello! I am 23 years old, and went to West Point for 2 years. I love learning in general, but I specialize in chemistry, math, and languages. I have primarily tutored peers around my age, but have also had some experience tutoring students as young as 6. I have a specific passion for languages - I am proficient in French and currently learning Mandarin, German, Spanish, and ASL. I may or may not be considered "someone who is annoyingly consistent in correcting English grammar." Additionally, I was a musician (clarinet and piano) for 9 years before college so I am also willing to tutor in those as well. My schedule is flexible and the priority is the students' comprehension, therefore prices are definitely negotiable!

I love seeing students succeed academically and their reaction when they finally understand material. My goal is to have the student be able to teach me the material they originally struggled with.

About the lesson

When working with a new student, I like to ask them about what they're struggling with (specific or general), their study and note-taking habits, the manner in which they learn best, as well as their attention span.

Peers 18-21 and a student as young as 6. I have also helped my sister who is 4 years younger than me.

Be completely honest in abilities and goals, learning methods, and personality traits that may inhibit or help tutoring.
