About Simon
I'm someone who looks at the world from a physics perspective. I'm very analytical about everything, and I spend a lot of time breaking down the physics behind things. Due to this interest, I took AP Physics in high school, and unexpectedly got a 5 on the AP test. I love explaining things to people, whether it be when I'm coaching as a mountain biker, or teaching physics. Physics can be a tough subject to understand, so I am very patient with people I'm helping. By stepping into the student's shoes, I can adjust my explaination to meet their needs in order for them to understand difficult concepts.
I always learn more about how people think, and I get to improve on my understanding of the mind and how we learn. And I like seeing when people reach that moment of realization when they come to understand that concept they've struggled with.
I started teaching in the classroom in high school, helping out my friends by explaining concepts to them. I also work as a mountain bike coach, which involves explaining the forces we input with our bodies into the bike to get the desired outcome.
I have taken both high school AP Physics, and college level Physics. As well as Calculus at both the high school and college level.
I'm Bilingual. (Spanish)
I have a lot of experience in explaining concepts to people, especially through mountain bike skills instruction and peer tutoring.

It's really important that a tutor understand how you best receive information and take the most out of it. Everyone has a different way of understanding concepts, and a good teacher can cater to yours.
