About Rachel

Hi!

My name is Rachel and I am a current high school science teacher! I've been teaching professionally since 2012, but have been private tutoring for fifteen years. I've taught: chemistry, earth science, biology, middle school science, and kindergarten reading, but chemistry is my favorite.

I am able to tutor in ACT science, all science courses, middle and younger math, and English. I am so excited to work with you!

I think one on one help is the best way to learn a subject! You get the most attention and avoid asking a question and not having it explained in a way you understand. My favorite moment of tutoring is always the "aha" moment when a student finally gets it! I live for those!

I majored in biological sciences and minored in psychology. I hold a BS. in Biology but completed all prerequisite science courses for medical school.

Additionally, I have a Masters in Teaching.

About the lesson

Algebra lessons offered by Rachel are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in Pasadena. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.
