About Mohsen

PhD in Applied Math and a professoriate certificate from Virginia Tech.

I have a passion for learning and teaching advanced topics in Applied Mathematics, including Differential Equations, Probabilty and Statistics, Advanced/Multivariate Calculus, Linear Algebra, Quantum Computing, Nonlinear Dynamics.

I started as an author of test prep for engineering students who were applying for graduate school. Then I worked as TA and instructor during my PhD course at Virginia Tech. I continuously study and do research in Applied Math and tutor a few students at any given time.

Having a PhD, a professoriate certificate from Virginia Tech and continuous study and research in Applied Mathematics after PhD.

About the lesson

Based on the below metrics, I prepare a mini-curriculum and review it with the student to make sure we are on the same page:

1. The syllabus and exact chapters within the subject that she has difficulty with

2. Her current standing within those chapters.

3. Her goal and her timeline for reaching the goal

4. Her preferred frequency. Sessions will be no longer than 90 minutes, with breaks after 45 minutes. I will not charge for breaks.

I teach advanced Math subjects, usually to undergrad or grad students in STEM fields. I have helped students from different levels of proficiency.

Education and experience of the tutor can say a lot. Also the best way to gauge if a tutoring relationship works, is to give it a try. That's why I believe the first session should be free if the student is dissatisfied.

Xanadu, a Canadian Quantum Computing company succeeded to run an algorithm and outperform any possible classical computer using photonic Qbits. It's a new extensible method of building quantum computers.

Details

Aside from the commute expenses my rate will be $55 per 60 minutes of tutoring. I will not charge for breaks.
First 60 minutes of a multi-session course would be free if the student doesn't find it helpful and decides to cancel.
