About JY
I'm a young tutor! I love tutoring people because it gives me a greater understanding of the subject, and helping others reach the same level of understanding is one of my favorite feelings of accomplishment! I've been tutoring unofficially everyone around me for my whole academic career; I host multiple study groups, and those who attend my study groups often do very well on exams!
I usually work with my peers and teach them the material we learned in class. Although I would be doing a different endeavor on tutor.com by teaching material that I am quite confident in, I really enjoy the process of helping others!
I absolutely love teaching those around me, and I think one of the best ways of learning a material is by explaining it.

I generally gain an understanding of where the student is at with the material by asking them to explain it to me. I then work through the material step by step, asking them to explain back to me why each step was done.
I've worked with students from fourth grade to juniors in college.
