About Brid
I graduated just this year with a Bsc(Hons) in Applied Physics.
I have experience teaching with the Centre for Talented Youth Ireland (including experience with younger children and children with autism)
I can give the student an intuitive, full understanding of the subject. Ideally I will have the time to test the students basics and strengthen any weaknesses in the fundamentals and build from the foundation. This way the student will be able to think for themselves and understand the material instead of learning off answers.
In maths and science it is especially important to have strong basics because you cannot simply just move onto the next topic without first pinning the previous one down.
I will also teach good answering practices as this is very important for getting marks, as well as ensuring you comprehend and answer the question correctly. Even at a university level a person can suffer from simple algebraic errors or other silly mistakes, and bad habits only exacerbate the chances of doing something like this.
I will provide plenty of opportunities to practice answering and I will provide homework for the student to complete outside of the session time.
If the student is looking only to be taught how to pass exams, I can do that as well. While it has been some years since my Leaving and Junior Cert, I will thoroughly study and analyse the relevant exam papers for any student who wishes to be taught for an exam. I will do the same for a university student if they wish.
