About Matthew
Hi potential tutees! My name is Matt, and I would love to help you reach academic success in the courses that you are struggling with. Math and physics are my passions, I love to teach and share my knowledge on them with others. I have a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from Penn State University and a master's of math education from Millersville University. I have been an in-person math tutor for four years and am now a full-time math and science teacher. If you need help with any of your math or physics courses, I'm your guy!
I started tutoring fellow classmates of mine while studying for my undergraduate degree. As I progressed through my master's, I continued to work as a tutor. Now that I am working as a full-time teacher

I have worked with a very wide range of students. I've tutored 1st-grade students all the way up to undergraduate students, students who have loved school, and those that loathed it.
I would say to find someone that you trust and enjoy working with. With learning, self-discovery is the key to reaching a greater level of understanding, this is especially true with math. Look for a tutor that does not just give you answers, but instead guides you through problems by helping you to make connections.
I recently completed my first ever 5.11d rock climbing route, bringing me one step closer to achieving my dream to finish a big wall climb.

Details
I offer a free 30-minute consultation to get to know my students so that I can tailor my tutoring to their needs. I want to get to know them, what their biggest concerns are with their classes, and what concepts they have a particularly tough time with.
After this consultation, my rate is $50 for an hour tutoring session or $85 for a two hour session.
