About Natalie
I am a college graduate who has been tutoring for over five years, three of which have been through my own service. As a recent student, I am intimately familiar with the remote education setting, and understand where gaps in learning and understanding can occur. I am passionate about giving students the tools they need to approach and solve math problems, and in giving clear steps and strategies.
I scored a 5 on both my AP Calc AB and BC exams, and graduated from Vassar College with honors in Computer Science. I am currently employed as a software engineer and tutor in my free time.
I was a passionate student in high school and greatly enjoyed the common core subjects - since going to college, my education has become much more specialized. Revisiting math has been a hobby of mine for awhile as I've wanted to maintain my numerical literacy, and now I enjoy getting to spend a few hours a week doing something I truly enjoy (it's nerdy, but I really like calculus!).
I have taken math through the AP Calculus BC level throughout middle school and high school, and have continued work with math and logic with the pursuit of my computer science degree. I have tutored several students both as volunteer work and as a professional, paid tutor.

I like to ask students first to send me a copy of their most recent notes and homework - this helps me to establish both where they currently are in the material and how their teacher expects work and answers to be formatted. I will normally then take notes on the concept before going into my session, review these notes with the student, and then work through some problems with them. As we go, I check in to see if the pacing is good for them, and ask if they have any specific spots where they have questions.

Details
I base my pricing at $40 a session, and increase based on difficulty of the material. I also offer last minute sessions or test review sessions for an extra $10 an hour.
