About Zinnia
I am currently a high school student who is taking Calculus BC and looking to share my knowledge in math with others. My largest goal is that my student can feel comfortable with their math skills and be able to answer a problem without questioning themselves. My strongest attribute is understanding that everyone learns at a different pace, and I will try my hardest to meet each specific student's needs.
I've always enjoyed working with people. Outside of tutoring for peers and through programs at school for the past two years, I spend a lot of time volunteering with people from all ages whether it be at the hospital or at church. I especially enjoy tutoring because I love being able to help others succeed in school or finally get to understand a subject they have been struggling with!
For coursework, I have taken all three Integrated math courses, Pre-calculus Honors, and just completed Ap Calculus Bc; earning high A's in all these clases.
I have been tutoring the past two years through my schools California Scholarship Federation club which holds tutoring sessions for math during study hall. I am also the current president of this club.

My typical process is simple. I want to get to know my student and understand their strengths, weaknesses, and learning style. Then, I want to develop a lesson plan and schedule that both the student and I can agree to.
