About Katie

I will give my students my full and undivided attention when I am tutoring them. We will work together to figure out how they learn best, and I will adjust my teaching style accordingly. I believe that everyone has the ability to reach their highest potential, and I would love to help students reach theirs!

I love watching the wheels turn in students' heads until they finally reach that "aha!" moment and get the right answer. I also love watching their progress and improvement over time, which grows alongside their confidence when taking these exams!

I volunteered at a local tutoring program in high school, then continued tutoring throughout college. I have over 5 years of experience, and I love continuing to meet and work with students!

I am a current senior at Harvard College studying Human Evolutionary Biology. I received a 35 on my ACT and a 1530 on my SAT. I can also tutor in several different subjects if requested.

About the lesson

First, I want to get to know you a little bit! Then, we will work together to set goals, and develop a step-by-step plan to reach those goals. We will try to focus on the subjects that need the most work in order to improve your scores as much as possible. Every so often, we will check back and review your progress, and re-evaluate our goals and plan if needed!

I have worked with students ranging from elementary school to high school. I have a very versatile experience working with students, and I enjoy working with all age groups!

Try to find someone who has recently gone through the SAT/ACT and college application process and was successful. These are the kinds of tutors that can relate to you and more deeply understand how to go about these exams.
