About Todd
I enjoy the art and craft of acting thouroghly and have studied in depth collegiately and professionally, winning several awards and earning critical praise with local media and audiences. The benefits of acting/performance skills go well beyond the stage and screen, and can help in developing positive interpersonal communication skills, cognitive enhancement, and overall self-confidence. I graduated from Drury University with a degree in Psychology with a minor in theatre...earning the lead role in every production my Junior/Senior years, and winning the "Best Actor of the Year" award in 2003. Following graduation, I acted in 15 plays over the course of 3 years and have since acted in 3 movies and countless paid commercial spots for Opfer Communications. The last 12 years I have parlayed my performance/acting skills with my guitar/vocal skills and have been playing music as a healthy part-time job, with weekly local and regional gigs.
I have vast experience in both stage and screen acting, which can be very different crafts. I enjoy the human connection of portraying another person to the point that the viewer forgets they are watching a performance. This is accomplished through research, case study, empathy, memorization, listening, personal exploration, and developing a deep understanding of human emotions.
