About Adam

The International Acting Studio (TIAS) offers private coaching and workshops for actors in film/television/theater. The work is dedicated to cultivating the actor’s skillset through imagination, behavior and psychology, translating the techniques of the top graduate acting programs in the world into tools that can be readily utilized by the actor in any working environment. TIAS seeks to bridge the gap between acting student and acting professional.

As an actor and director, I have worked with actors at all levels of experience, from amateurs to Academy Award winners.

The acting workshops on Zoom will ultimately be an incubator for developing talent and building their visibility outside their own local community. Digital technologies such as streaming can now introduce diverse talent from one part of the world elsewhere in a way that previous generations could not access as easily. A showcase at the end of the first year of training will introduce the acting clients’ work to agents, managers and casting directors.

I previously ran the production company ‘First Lady Films' for Academy Award winner Melisa Leo. I co-produced the film ‘FURLOUGH,’ starring Leo and two other Oscar winning actresses, Whoopi Goldberg and Anna Paquin. I graduated from Yale University with a degree in Film Studies. I am a member of the Television Academy, Screen Actors Guild and Actors Equity Association. At 26, I became the youngest member in the Playwright/Directors Unit of the Actors Studio: my interview was with Academy Award winner Martin Landau. Says Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe winner Sally Kirkland: "Adam is a character actor in a leading man's body.”

Sandy

Adam is a wonderful coach. He helped me to breakdown scripts in a meaningful way and really learn who my characters were, in order to portray them effortlessly. At a time when my confidence as an actress wasn’t at its highest, he gave me the skills to truly believe in myself.
