About Livie
Hi! My name is Livie Hamilton. I study acting and directing in New York City at Marymount Manhattan College, and I am very passionate about sharing the arts! I have been teaching acting, dance, musical theatre, and improv classes for five years at children's theaters and agencies in Cincinnati (OH), Evergreen (CO), and New York (NY). I have been an individual monologue coach for children of ages 5-14 and I have directed several children's productions. I have been a performer since I could walk, and acting and teaching are my passions. It is so important to me that we keep the arts alive in this time, especially for young people. I would love the opportunity to help children grow in the arts remotely.
I started assistant teaching theatre camps and dance classes when I was 15, and I began teaching for Marbles Kid Talent Agency in Denver Colorado and Evergreen Players Theatre Company when I was 16. I have absolutely loved it ever since and take any opportunity I can to teach classes, direct shows, or do private lessons!
I have been performing and auditioning since I was three years old, and I am currently pursuing my BFA in Acting at Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. I was a dancer from ages 3-15, and I have been training vocally since I was ten years old.

When working with a new student, I typically take the time to get to know them first to completely understand what their natural instincts are, as well as their best methods of communication and coaching. In the beginning, I focus primarily on movement and voice/speech techniques. As time goes on and the student becomes more comfortable with me, we begin to delve deeper into the process and I make sure the student is experiencing growth through being challeneged, but also through having fun with the art form.
I have worked with artistic children of ages 5-14, and I was a part of an improvisational therapy trial run for children with ADHD, Dyslexia, and Autism. I thoroughly believe in the power of art when it comes to improving social skills and learning skills in all children who may struggle with them.
