About Yakup

In addition to private lessons, I have experience working at the Yunus Emre Institute Turkish language school. The program is similar to TÖMER, but the curriculum places a greater emphasis on listening and speaking activities. I have also had the opportunity to teach refugees with the International Labour Organization.

About the lesson

I am a Turkish language PhDc and tutor with over eight years of experience working with foreigners. I earned a master’s degree in Teaching Turkish to Foreigners from Hacettepe University and have taught over 5000 hours of private lessons to countless expats from all over the world, a number of whom were embassy employees. I scored a 98/100 on the Teaching Turkish to Foreigners certificate exam from the Yunus Emre Institute.

Whether you want to meet in-person or on-line, I can help you learn Turkish through listening, speaking, writing and reading. My main goal is to teach Turkish with educational strategies that are modern and enjoyable.

Prices for teaching classes, groups, or individual students are able to be negotiated.

If you have any questions or would like additional information, please feel free to contact me.
