About Yuqing
Hello!
My name is Chloe. I graduated from the University of Auckland with a Master’s in TESOL, achieving Distinction. During my studies, I served as a class representative, which helped me develop strong organization and communication skills. Over the past ten years, I have taught beginner and intermediate English to children, teenagers, and adults. I enjoy teaching both online and face-to-face and like to design lessons that meet each student’s needs, helping them gain confidence and make fast progress.
I am also a native Chinese speaker and welcome students who want to learn Chinese. I have participated in English teaching in Bali and a sea turtle conservation project in Sri Lanka, combining language learning with cross-cultural experiences. These experiences have broadened my perspective and improved my teaching and communication skills. I look forward to working with you or your child on a fun, engaging, and effective language learning journey!

I tailor my lessons to each student’s language level and learning needs. Before starting, I assess their skills and goals and create a personalized plan to ensure steady progress. My lessons focus on practical communication, using interactive activities, clear explanations, and continuous feedback to help students build confidence and improve their language skills.
Each lesson usually lasts 60 to 90 minutes and includes warm-up, targeted practice, and review.
My lessons are suitable for students of all ages, from preschool children to retirees. I also offer Chinese lessons, especially for students from multicultural or multilingual backgrounds.
