About Kitty

I am a dedicated and enthusiastic primary school tutor with a genuine passion for helping children learn and grow. I have experience working as a Teaching Assistant at a leading girls' primary school in South Kensington, where I supported children across a range of ages and abilities. I am also currently studying Psychology with the aim of becoming a primary school teacher, allowing me to deepen my understanding of child development and learning.

Teaching is something I care deeply about because I understand first-hand how much of a difference the right support can make. As a child, I sometimes found learning difficult and lacked confidence in my abilities. However, with teachers who understood how I learnt best and encouraged me to believe in myself, I was able to flourish.
That experience inspired me to help other children discover their own potential. I know that every child learns differently, and I enjoy finding approaches that help learning click for them. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child gain confidence, overcome a challenge, and realise they are capable of achieving more than they thought possible. For me, supporting that journey is what makes teaching such a fulfilling and meaningful profession.

About the lesson

My name is Kitty, and I'm an experienced primary school tutor who is passionate about helping children aged 4–11 develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.

I have worked as a Teaching Assistant at a leading primary school in South Kensington, supporting pupils across a range of subjects and abilities. During my time there, I also was also offered the role of Interim Music Teacher, planning and delivering engaging lessons that encouraged creativity and participation.
I have completed my grades 1-8 in classical piano, grades 1-6 classical cello, and 1-6 classical singing also, which allowed me to lead the junior and senior school choirs along with this role.

I have completed specialist training in phonics, neurodiversity, and safeguarding, which allows me to adapt my teaching to suit each child's individual needs and learning style. Whether your child needs support with reading, writing, maths, phonics, homework, or general confidence in the classroom, I aim to make learning enjoyable, encouraging, and rewarding.

I am currently studying Psychology with the goal of becoming a primary school teacher. This has given me a deeper understanding of child development and how children learn most effectively.
My lessons are tailored to each student, focusing on building strong foundations while helping children feel confident in their abilities. I believe every child can succeed when given the right support, patience, and encouragement.
I look forward to helping your child grow in confidence and achieve their full potential.
