About Samantha
I am a certified math teacher who has worked with students of all ages for the past decade. In my experience as a math tutor and working in a school, I have seen students struggle for all sorts of reasons. My job is to pinpoint those reasons and help students work through them.

A confident student is a successful one!
In lessons, I get at the student's level and establish a rapport with them. After identifying the student's strengths and weaknesses, I approach their trouble spots with patience and attention to the individual. Sometimes a student needs some hand-holding, but more often than not, students are equipped with the tools to help them understand the problems on their own. I believe that learning involves much more than memorization, so using socratic questioning, repetition, and other strategies, I set students up so that they often teach themselves the topic.
I work with students of all ages, but mostly those in elementary and middle school.
