About RST

I believe that everyone should have a good education. A teacher's job is to prepare students for a successful life. I have had a successful life. My life lessons are wrapped up in my teaching as much as my education. I grew up in one of the poorest neighborhoods in California, and my family struggled. I did well in school, attended the University of California for an undergraduate degree, and returned for a Master's Degree. I have started a biotech company, a consulting firm, and a non-profit organization, all of which were successful. My passion is planting the seeds of entrepreneurship in the students I teach.

About the lesson

I believe that nature is the best teacher; I am merely a translator here to point out the lessons that exist everywhere around us and train my students to view natural phenomena through the prism of the Scientific Method. Here is a Syllabus I created for a course I teach on aquaponics. CONFIDENTIAL PROPRIETARY Temperature 70°F to 80°F (85°F for Swiss Chard) Humidity Week 1 and 2, 80% to 90% Humidity 50% to 60% Humidity Thereafter 3 Power Grow Towers Habitats Vertical Towers (Plants) Towers Ports Sized to accommodate plant root substrate Tower Substrate Built to include the microbial ecology needed for excellent plant health Made from natural organic materials and plastics to provide a foundation for microbial growth Reservoir/Fish Tank Water Distilled or Spring Water (reverse osmosis at least) NO CITY WATER (contains chlorine and chloramine) 4 Grow Bed Habitats I am certified as a science composite teacher in the state of Texas (Chemistry, Physics, and Biology), I also have experience teaching environmental systems. In total, I have 12 years of formal teaching experience, in middle school and high school. I also have experience as a trainer while working for Bio-Rad (a biotechnology company) as a technical support specialist. My last job in the industry was as a molecular biology technical sales consultant, working for Mittenyi Biotech (a German Biotech company, where I trained customers on the use of capital equipment purchased from my company Surface Great location for all sorts of veggies, well suited for heavy fruit plants (cucumbers, squash, tomatoes etc.) Sub-surface The roots of all your plants will occupy this space.
