About Anja
I have always loved teaching, which is why tutoring was my preferred method of income during my BA and MA studies. I was then able to truly build my teaching skills during my PhD as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, which led me to become an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). I am now a part-time Lecturer in German at Reading University; as a professional academic and teacher, I have insight into the skills needed to be successful at university, and at the stages leading up to it.

I have been teaching undergraduates for five years now across a broad variety of subjects, including German Language and Literature, Cultural History, Translation, and Study Skills. before that, I tutored A level and GCSE students in German, History, and English. On superprof, I offer tutoring in English, German, History, and Study Skills.
Among my students, I am known for my engaging and friendly, yet structured teaching style. A typical lesson with me will last for about 40-60 minutes; we will discuss any recent issues and your learning goals for the session before diving into the subject matter. In my teaching, I will support you with my expert knowledge while also helping you discover your own solutions and answers that work for you - everyone really is different! I teach at GCSE, A level and undergraduate level, and I offer personalised tuition structures to meet your needs and goals.
