About Urisha
I am originally from South Africa and bring 8 years of experience as a teacher in primary and secondary education.
I hold a background in psychology and am a qualified counsellor. I effectively apply my counselling skills to gain a deeper understanding of my learners, recognizing that each child has a unique learning style.
I specialize in teaching English across all year levels (Years 1–13) and am also capable of teaching various subjects for Years 2–8, including psychology.

I believe each child is different and learners differently. I use practicals and examples, allowing the learner to attempt the work at hand.
In English, I use phonics and structured literacy to build the reading. Writing, first I build on Vocabulary and thereafter the grammar. Maths I work with the foundation and build on to the year the learner is in.
I am a qualified teacher with 8 years experience. I am able to teach Maths Y1-5, EnglishY1-13 and Science Y2-8.
My lessons are 1 hour long.
