About Andi
I have over 3 years of academic support experience within Post-16 education. Many of my students experienced differences in learning so I have lots of support strategies to bring to our sessions.
I trained as a Learning Support Assistant and will always work at your pace and to meet your needs. My classes are inclusive and LGBTi friendly.
I have a full honours degree in psychology from the Open University (First) and these studies, as well as my TEFL teaching certificate and my Level 3 English literacy subject support qualification, prepare me for working alongside students to support their learning outcomes.
As well as an academic interest in cognitive psychology and learning differences, I am also a qualified electronics technician (C&G Level 3).

I can offer online Skype general study skills support for students with neurodiverse profiles such as dyslexia or dyspraxia informed by my past experience supporting learners.
I believe tutoring should always be a collaborative process so I like students to come to sessions with questions that we can work together to solve.
I don’t normally offer specific “lessons” but rather offer sessions where we can consider where you are now, look at what you need to study and in later sessions try out strategies that may work for you.
As a dyslexic myself I know how important it is to "work with your brain" when it processes information, so supporting neurodiverse students is particularly important to me.
I may be able to help you with managing information, dealing with memory difficulties and essay writing approaches. We can work together to improve your success in your studies.
