About Aarav
Choosing a tutor is an investment in your future, and I take that responsibility with the utmost seriousness. My goal is to provide a structured, professional, and high-energy environment where students feel both challenged and completely supported.
Professionalism & Legitimacy
With a strong academic background in the sciences and years of experience navigating various curricula, I bring a level of expertise and precision to every session. My professionalism is defined by:
Punctuality & Reliability: I respect your time. Every session begins and ends on schedule, with a clear objective set from the very first minute.
Curriculum Mastery: I stay up-to-date with current educational standards and exam board requirements, ensuring that what we study is directly relevant to your success in the classroom.
Clear Communication: I provide consistent feedback, helping students (and parents) track progress through measurable milestones and identified areas for growth.
Inspiring Confidence Through Competence
Confidence in Math and Science doesn't happen by accident; it is built through the mastery of small wins. I help students overcome "subject anxiety" by:
"Replacing the fear of being wrong with the curiosity of finding out why."
By maintaining a calm, encouraging, and focused demeanor, I create a space where students feel safe to take academic risks. When you work with me, you aren't just getting a tutor—you are gaining a professional mentor who is genuinely invested in your academic journey.
Your Success is the Priority
I am committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity. Whether we are deconstructing a complex physics problem or mastering algebraic functions, you can expect a polished, well-prepared, and intellectually stimulating experience every time.

My Teaching Method & Techniques
My approach is built on Scaffolded Learning and Active Recall. I don’t just lecture; I coach. I use the following techniques to ensure long-term retention:
The Feynman Technique: I often ask students to explain a concept back to me in their own words. If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough yet.
Visual Mapping: We use digital whiteboards to break down complex biological processes or multi-step algebraic equations into manageable flowcharts.
Pattern Recognition: Instead of memorizing formulas, we focus on the "why." Once you understand the derivation, you never have to worry about forgetting the equation.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Every session is structured to maximize focus and build momentum:
The Quick Review (5-10 mins): We start with a "warm-up" problem from the previous session to ensure yesterday’s knowledge stuck.
Concept Deep Dive (20 mins): We tackle the new topic. I introduce the theory, followed by a live demonstration of a high-difficulty problem.
Collaborative Practice (20 mins): The student takes the lead. I observe, providing "micro-hints" only when they hit a wall to encourage independent problem-solving.
The Summary & Stress-Test (10 mins): We wrap up with a summary of key takeaways and a quick "curveball" question to test the boundaries of their understanding.
What Sets Me Apart
While many tutors focus strictly on the syllabus, Aarav focuses on the student.
Adaptability: I tailor my metaphors to the student’s interests. If a student loves basketball, we discuss trajectory and physics through the lens of a free throw.
Patience & Empathy: I understand that STEM anxiety is real. I create a safe environment where no question is "too basic" and mistakes are celebrated as data points for improvement.
The "So What?" Factor: I bridge the gap between abstract textbook theory and real-world application, making the material inherently more interesting.
Who These Lessons Are For
I specialize in helping students navigate the transition from foundational concepts to advanced academic rigor:
Middle Schoolers: Building confidence in Pre-Algebra, Earth Science, and General Biology.
High School Students: Targeted support for Algebra I & II, Geometry, Physics, and Chemistry.
Exam Prep: Specialized coaching for students preparing for standardized tests or end-of-year finals.
Struggling & Gifted Learners: Whether you are looking to catch up or looking to get ahead of the curriculum, the pace is entirely yours.
