About SrAbreu
I am a positive, energetic (funny) and determined person from the Caribbean (DR) who loves teaching. I earned a Masters degree in Teaching Language grades K-12th and a Bachelors Degree in Spanish concentration from RI College. I have been a teacher for 8 plus years now, and I have many years of experience tutoring both in person and virtually. I am a respectful person who grew up with many traditional and educational values. I am very professional in everything I do (especially in teaching) and I take pride in my work and my dedication. In my many years of experience teaching, I have never been in a situation where my students feel unsafe, disrespected, or disappointed. I am very passionate about teaching my native language and its culture, hence why I really enjoy doing it.

All my lessons are personalized (based on your needs) innovative and fun. I use technology, recent content, and students information/interests to make my lessons useful, meaningful and fun. I prioritize the ability to use the language in real situations by using real/conversational life scenarios according to the topic being studied. I have experience teaching many different levels, ranging from novice low to heritage (native) classes. I have also taught classes at the college level and about cultural aspects of the Spanish language. In my lessons I give students the opportunity to practice all four language modes: speaking, writing, listening and reading, while also learning about the Spanish culture. Being native speakers of the language, allows me to offer great articulation, cultural tips, instant feedback, and ample content knowledge. You will have an excellent experience learning a new language while having a lot of fun.
