About Beth
As a Psychology BSc graduate currently studying for an MSc in Mental Health Science, I am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals while developing confidence in their abilities. My background combines up-to-date academic knowledge with practical experience working in education as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant, where I support students with a range of learning needs and adapt lessons to suit different learning styles.
I understand that Psychology and Sociology can sometimes feel overwhelming, particularly when it comes to applying theories, evaluating research and writing high-quality exam answers. My aim is to make complex topics clear, engaging and accessible through personalised lessons that are tailored to each student's needs and learning pace.
I provide tuition for GCSE and A Level Psychology and Sociology, whether students are looking to strengthen their understanding of the course, improve their exam technique or work towards achieving higher grades. Lessons are supportive, well-structured and focused on helping students become more independent and confident learners.
As I am currently completing postgraduate study in Mental Health Science, I remain engaged with the latest psychological research and evidence-based approaches. I am committed to creating a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and celebrating their progress.
My goal is to help every student reach their full potential by combining patience, clear explanations and effective revision strategies that build both subject knowledge and exam confidence.

I am a Psychology BSc graduate currently studying for an MSc in Mental Health Science with The Open University. Alongside my studies, I work as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant, supporting students with a wide range of learning needs. This experience has strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching style to suit each individual's learning preferences, helping students build confidence as well as academic understanding.
I offer GCSE and A Level Psychology and Sociology tuition for students who want to improve their understanding of key concepts, prepare for exams, or boost their grades. Whether you are aiming for a pass or striving for the highest marks, I tailor each lesson to your goals and current level of knowledge.
My teaching approach is friendly, patient and structured. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions, so I create a supportive environment where no question is too small. Lessons typically combine clear explanations of difficult topics, interactive discussions, real-world examples, and regular knowledge checks to reinforce learning. We will also work through exam-style questions, develop essay-writing skills, and practise effective revision techniques to build confidence before assessments.
Each lesson usually lasts 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged if required. Every lesson is personalised, ensuring we focus on the areas where you need the most support while progressing at a pace that suits you.
As someone currently working in education and continuing my own postgraduate studies, I understand both the academic content and the challenges students face. My aim is not only to help you achieve excellent results but also to develop your confidence, critical thinking and enjoyment of Psychology and Sociology.
